Our Story

Established in the summer of 2025, GillyFishy Garments is co-owned and founded by Lyric Bundgaard (spinachfishy) and Teagen Brendemuehl (gillyflower). Teagen is majoring in 3D with a focus on fiber arts and Lyric is an Illustrator, we met at Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2023 and wanted to combine our artistic skills with our shared love of fashion to create one of a kind upcycled clothing. We are passionate about sustainability and self expression and we give existing garments new lives by transforming them into unique wearable pieces of art. Community is also super important to us, from customers & friends to photographers & models, we encourage confidence and embrace authenticity. Working with other creatives and seeing models & customers shine motivates us to keep creating!
